While the first Bluethroats are already busy gathering food for their young, other species are still in their wintering grounds. Think, for example, of Brent Geese. And sometimes there is something rare among them, like a Red-breasted Goose.

Another rarity recently appeared in the Waal and Burg polder and was later found again in a forest near De Koog.
