Autumn is approaching,

13 September 2025

and by now several scarce and rare bird species have already been observed on Texel.

A second Greater Sand Plover and American Golden Plover, a Pectoral Sandpiper, several Red-necked Phalaropes, Barred Warblers, and an Isabelline Shrike. In the second half of September, the first Yellow-browed Warbler will very likely be recorded — and probably many more to come…
