The autumn migration comes slowly. The first Pied and Spotted Flycatchers, Common Redstarts and Winchats have already shown. Like some Wrynecks, Barred Warblers and flying Ortolan Buntings and Dotterels. A Buff-breasted Sandpiper has been in Zandkes since 19 August. This small North American sandpiper preferably walks on grassland and often runs between the sheep. On the evening of August 23, a juvenile Red-footed Falcon sat on the distinctive beacon (hourglass) in the Tuintjes. From the 25th of August on the north head, a juvenile Rosy Starling is regularly seen in a group of about 200 Common Starlings.
