Yes, indeed quiet sunny autumn weather. After several days of moderate wind from the east, the wind is now coming from the southwest. With birds it is fortunately less quiet. Goldcrests, Coal Tits, Blackcaps and Meadow Pipits migrate in reasonable numbers. Also migrating Wood- and Skylarks, Common and Black Redstarts, Song Thrushes, Siskins, Bramblings and Chaffinches are seen, either in smaller numbers. Some highlights of recent days are the records of two Little Buntings (Lange Dam 0310, Kreeftenpolder 0410), a Red-throated on the spot for a short time (Robbenjager 0410), some flying Richard's Pipits and an Eurasian Treecreeper (Dorpszicht 0410).
