to Brazil with BirdingBreaks I am back on Texel. Last weekend started excellent with the discovery of a Booted Warbler along the Lange Dam at pole 28 on 12 September. This is the third record for Texel. Other interesting records of past two days; Pallid Harrier, Yellow-browed Warbler, Wryneck and Barred Warbler. On 11 and 12 September, the first 'early' Rough-legged Buzzards were seen. On September 10 the first Yellow-browed Warbler was seen in Den Burg. The capture of a Thrush Nightingale on the ring station De Korverskooi on September 11 is worth mentioning. Again, this is only the third record for Texel. A juvenile Citrine Wagtail stayed from August 29 to September 6 on the Renvogelveld at camping De Robbenjager. At sea Sooty and Manx Shearwaters, Great Skuas, Pomarine, Parasitic and Long-tailed Jaegers were seen in small numbers on several dates. Also some passing Sabine's Gulls were seen along the North Sea coast.
